Building a life and a business
Ever wanted a business that fit your life, rather than trying to fit life around a business? That's what I was looking for. A few years back, I was lost. I'd created a substantial downline and fairly decent retail business through network marketing, only to find that the time it took to manage my downline, which really weren't as interested as I was, cut into my selling time severely. My income dropped and with it my enthusiasm. I was so disenchanted with the whole thing and frankly very burnt out that I walked away. Income-wise that wasn't good. Living in Vancouver, BC is expensive and having it all, including the kids, requires money. My husband earns a great income, but it still wasn't enough. Early in our marriage, we decided that it was important for one of us to be home with the kids. As the kids got older, I found it was even more important for me to be home. My kids love the fact that when they arrive home from school, I'm there - at least most days. I have the time, or make the time, to be interested in their activities and friends and as a result, my kids are all well-balanced, amazing individuals. (Yes, I'm a very proud Mom) All 3 kids are excellent athletes and I became the taxi. I wouldn't change it, nor am I complaining, just explaining how life changed for us. Our strategy of having me home, was great. I was able to taxi them, encourage them and be there for them. What I wasn't able to do, in my business life, was balance the time so I could continue earning an income. I believe strongly in the power of attraction and as I fumbled through the next year or so, I kept asking for something to appear that would provide an income and let me be where I wanted and needed to be, with my kids. At a networking event, I was introduced to a very cool product. A mineral that absorbed! A very simple concept and yet extremely powerful. The family and I tested the mineral in several areas. We discovered that it was amazing in sports equipment and shoes. We tested it at different tournaments and games and found that many players and parents loved the concept. We discovered that there was some competition, but virtually nothing exactly like it and very little that actually worked. Then we created products using the mineral. Today, I spend time at my computer or on the road promoting the products, during the day and while the kids are at school. Weekends and evenings are spent at games or tournaments - sometimes with the products. And I have a company that my kids help with and is built around our lifestyle, values and goals. We are actively building a company. By no means have we made it rich quick, but it's coming. I share this story, as I know my quest is not uncommon. I hope to encourage others in knowing that "having it all" is possible, it just takes a bit of strategic planning and belief. |

I think the sound of that although she probably doesn't wear her shoes long enough for them to smell. We could always send her a pair though, if you have an "in".
